Calle Børresen
(Director of Photography) works as professional Director of
Photography in his native Norway and abroad, on commercials,
documentaries, music videos and short films. After completing his
studies at the Norwegian Film and Television Academy in 1990, he
went on to study cinematography at the London International Film
School, where he shot many films as a DP and was selected to
participate in the Fuji Film Program. Among his credits from this
period is the one-hour drama Artemis, filmed on location
in Greece. Upon graduating from London International, he was
accepted at the School of Visual Arts in New York as a third year,
Cinematography major. In his last year at the School of Visual Arts, Calle won the Eastman
Kodak Scholarship Award, an |

honor which included a $5000 educational grant for outstanding
cinematography, and training in L. A. with the International
Cinematographers Guild. He has since worked on a number of films in
various capacities, including the Student Oscar-nominated The
Giraffe (as DP); the Emmy award winning The Official
Olympic Film-1994 (as focus puller); the Sundance-selected
short film, Ruben (as DP), and the Norwegian feature
Virgins of Riga (as 1st AC). |
